How You Can Help!
Volunteer your time!
The Coach House
has benefited enormously from volunteers over the years. They have done
everything from full-time management, book-keeping, baking, soup-making,
jam-making, washing, gardening, cleaning, stocktaking and of course, staffing
the shop, serving in the café and manning the tills.
Presently we are particularly looking for people to help with:-
baking and soup-making for the café
| staffing the shop
Volunteers work either a morning or an afternoon shift, 10.15 to 1.45 or 1.45
to 5.15. No previous experience is needed. Our tills are pretty simple and
Sue Bond
is on hand during the week and one of our weekend supervisors the rest of the
time. As a rule, we are open every day except Mondays. The volunteers decide
when they will come. Some people like to work a regular slot while others
simply put their name in the diary whenever they are available. |
Other possibilities include:
Pricing goods in the shop
Making displays in the shop
Cleaning the shop, fridges and freezers
Distributing publicity materials
Stock taking and stock control
Helping with the book-keeping
Keeping the book cabin tidy
Pricing books
Gardening
